Our client has been operating for over 20 years in the Australian telecommunications market as part of a larger group of companies. The company has operations around Australia and is sharply focused on providing products and services to the broader telecommunications industry. Their working relationships are well established with the major carriers and vendors, delivering infrastructure programs in the provision of technical, structural or managed services to the telecommunication sector accross Australasia.

The Australian business under the stewardship of the current General Manager, now requires an Operations Manager to assist in their further growth and market penetration as one of the leading fully integrated Telecommunications groups. The Australian group is a small but dedicated team providing tailored solutions with engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning as well as maintenance services. The group is now looking for a person who has strong techncial understanding of civil or structural engineering projects combined with commercial and contracts knowledge and enjoys the telecommunications industry. The role is "hands on" leading from the front, managing the operational aspects of the business, bringing more depth to the team with field, project management and operational knowledge whilst working closely with the GM in the overall running of the business. The position will require regular travel around Australia to various sites currently under contracts, and thus will require a collaborative approach regarding delegation, trust and the ability to bring in your own management style.
