Disciplined engineers, site and construction project staff in hot demand
Welcome to the 7th edition of the AAAI Report.
As the recruitment industry gears-up in preparation for our busiest time of the year, the lead-up to Christmas, AAAI's offices across Australia have been a hive of activity. This is promising news for all our candidates currently looking for work. In particular, there is still a shortage of candidates for disciplined engineering positions and for site and construction staff. Therefore, I would encourage all candidates interested in such positions to contact me either by phone or by email for a confidential discussion.
Furthermore, both the AAAI Group and our clients rely on more than just press and internet advertising to attract new candidates. We rely heavily on our referral system from recently placed candidates and candidates on our database to find suitable people for our roles. In the past, our extensive candidate network has allowed us to find suitable candidates quickly and reliably. I would therefore encourage you to tell friends and family about any vacant roles available that may suit their background and skill set.
The correspondence I have received over the last few months has been very positive and I would be more than happy to speak to any candidates who are interested in our current projects. You can either email me directly at mike.hayes@aaai.com.au or call (02) 9439 2977.
Engineers and Project Managers required for Mechanical & Structural contractor!
We are currently working on a national recruitment drive for a leading Mechanical and Structural Engineering contractor. AAAI has been awarded a number of large contracts to provide Mechanical & Structural services to mining companies in both WA and QLD. Candidates are being considered either on a FIFO, long term contract or permanent basis. The roles are based in local and regional centres in both states and candidates can expect excellent working conditions, very competitive salary packages and long term career prospects.
If you are interested in exploring these roles, then please register your interest on our website by visiting www.aaai.com.au. For further information about these roles and other work opportunities, in Queensland please contact Ken Bidgood and Peter Reynolds or in WA contact Geoff Berry and Mike Hayes.
The importance of making your company attractive to candidates
Employers are increasingly realising that it is important to sell their company when interviewing potential candidates. This is particularly important when recruiting mid to senior level managers. This is because the main selling point for a candidate is the client and thus the attraction of working on a large project with the potential for future career opportunities has to be presented in the early stages of the interview process. Furthermore, the client needs to recognise the candidate as someone who is very credible in their area of expertise and reward them accordingly with competitive salaries. This will enable them to attract the best possible person - someone who can open doors, drive business, build a great team around them and generally make the manager's job a lot easier.
If you would like to know more about our executive search, advertised search or any upcoming roles, please visit our website at www.aaai.com.au or call a consultant in your state for a general discussion.
Best regards,
Mike Hayes.
